The program illuminated the thought of Anti corruption in the minds of all present.
On the occasion of Vigilance week celebrated by CVC of India (Central Vigilance Commission), AIR INDIA and SBPIM jointly conducted the competition on 28th October 2017. The prize distribution of the same was conducted on 10th November 2017. The prize distribution was done by the hands of three eminent personalities who came from CVC and Air India, Mumbai. The event started with a welcome speech by Dr Daniel Penkar, Director, SBPIM. The guests Mr Kishore Prabhu, Regional Vigilance Head, Mr Suhas Jadhav, Station Manager, Air India, Pune and Mr Anil Mokal, Manager Vigilance Department Mumbai were felicitated and welcomed to the Institute.
Mr Kishore Prabhu started his speech by defining corruption in engineering language. He also said that if one bolt of the bridge is rusted then the chances of bridge falling arise. He assured that the responsibility to eradicate the corruption lies primarily with the youth. He also focused on satisfying and eradicating the greed aspect in an individual.
Mr Suhas Jadhav Station Manager, Air India Pune guided the students and said that instead of blaming the government we should try to minimize it on our level. He also said that every individual can control the people in the sphere of job we work in and this will influence many people around us.
The event progressed with the prize distribution. The prizes were distributed by the hands of the guest. The names of the winners are as under –

A session was conducted by Ms Moushmi Achari on Professional Approach towards Oral Communication which covered awareness of the present level of communication skills of the students and also use and practice their different aspects of Oral Communication.
Communication is the vehicle that allows the human race to recall the past, think in the present, and plan for the future. It enables people to manage relationships with others and to interpret and interact with the environment. Effective communication is a learned skill. Most people are born with the physical abilities to acquire necessary communication tools, but such potential does not guarantee that they will learn to communicate effectively and hence this session was conducted.
Ms Moushmi explained that communication discipline is concerned with improving students’ abilities to communicate in a variety of ways, as well as with expanding knowledge of how people communicate. The ability to speak clearly, eloquently, and effectively has, for centuries, been recognized as the hallmark of an educated person.

She introduced students with the ethics of personal grooming which included description of the clothes, type of clothes, accessories, footwear, perfume/colonel, hairstyle acceptable by the industry standards. The codes of dressing were described for both girls and boys differently.
She also spoke on the importance of public speaking and the mindset behind it. How and what a person should think while and before speaking to an authority personnel, when to use a simple ‘thank you, please, sorry’ and what it could mean if used inappropriately.
She also threw light on how ones actions and thoughts are reflected on one’s personality. Our thinking process is directly related to our actions itself. She also emphasized on how some simple things can enlighten our day and thought process and help us to be a cheerful personality.
The session also helped students to know their own personality well and how to bring changes in it and the improvement in the confidence level of students will help them in their future life.

The speaker was introduced by Dr Swapnali Kulkarni. Ms Moushmi Achari was then welcomed and felicitated by Dr H. D. Thorat, Research Head.

The speaker started her session by asking the students for the reason for taking admission in SBPIM. The answers received were various reasons. She finally said that the exact reason is to get a suitable job. The speaker spoke about the requirements of the corporate and how one should get ready to achieve better by working and devoting time for the next two years.
Ms. Moushmi suggested the various ways of grooming for interview and also corporate life. She emphasized the importance of perfect grooming for the key towards success. She also provided the students with some dos and don’ts for the personal interviews.

February 15, 2014: Management is not a field where subjects can be taught in isolation. The connection of various subjects, if made clear, can lead to a greater understanding of management, thereby ensuring better professionals. Keeping this in mind a Personality Development Training Program was conducted for 1st year MBA students at S. B. Patil Institute of Management. Ms. Padmini Panse and Ms. Ketki Joshi from Bumble Bee India engaged the students for one full day which began with the national anthem. It was an informative and interactive session for the student’s with national and international company examples, games and activities. Bumble Bee India believes in learning with fun; and so Communication game, Negotiations kills activity, Group presentations on ‘management’ during festivals, Tug of war, Ring game, and reach the line activity were conducted each having a take home message.
Communication and body language etiquettes were also given to the students. Active participation from the students was seen during presentations and outdoor games. At the end students, Kuttyappan Pillai, Vaibhav Phuskele expressed their overwhelming experience and learning from the training program.

July 29, 2013: She interacted with students on importance of corporates communication. The etiquette that impact with communication takes place through nonverbal gestures and vocal tone. Certainly, what you say or put in writing has impacts others; She also emphasized on how you dress and your hygiene convey messages open to interpretation by others.
Regarding specific things to say -- or not -- simple polite manners like saying "please" and "thank you" go a long way. Avoid racist or otherwise discriminatory comments about others. Do not interrupt others.
Apologize for misstatements or wrongdoings. Students enjoyed and learned etiquette from that session.

July 30, 2013: Management games were conducted with the objective to introduce the students’ role of Interpersonal Communication Skills for Effective Team Building. Sir told the students work on to develop strong interpersonal skills which will help them to be successful in both their professional and personal lives. In order to improve our relationship skills or interpersonal communication skills, we need to understand clearly about the elements of communication, side effect of poor communication, circumstance of communication, and the emotional intelligence of others and ourselves.
Students Playing Management Games through Enhancing Management, Interpersonal & Communication Skills
Sir told to students interpersonal skills are not just important in the workplace, but our personal and social lives can also benefit from better interpersonal communication skills.
Students played many management games which enhance the teamwork, coordination, creativity, cooperation and leadership qualities among the players.

July 30, 2013: Session started interacting with the students to understand what success means to them. Sir told you all want to be successful at something. But, when students prodded, they don’t provide specifics because they haven’t really created those specifics in their minds. Sir said that you might want to earn more money, drive a nicer car, get a better job, or travel to some far-off destination, but you haven’t set specific and measurable goals that are written down on paper.
Success Mantra was given to the students set specific goals, and really defines a framework of success in our lives. When they’re specific, in that they’re written out in detail, and you can both quantify them and know on what date you need to achieve them, they become more real.
