Day 1:

S.B.Patil Institute of Management was grateful to welcome the new batch students and enlighten them with the institute. Dr. Roopali Kudare, Head Academics, PCET’s S.B. Patil Institute of Management addressed the students and decoding the MBA curriculum. She also conveyed structure and pattern of MBA curriculum including activities like Research, Industrial Visit, Entrepreneurship Activities, Cultural Activities, Sports Activities and other extracurricular activities in detail.

Alumni interaction took place under the heading of “Dreams, Handwork, Determination and Success – My MBA Journey” where the prestigious Alumni of SBPIM who guided MBA-I-year students regarding how academic and co-curricular activities are important for holistic development of students for getting better job in corporate. Mr.Kiran Godse, CEO Eikon Plastic Tank and Pipes, Mr. Melson Mathew, Alliance Ops Manager, Tech Mahindra, Mr. Prashant Bramhankar, MD, Maheshwari Realty Group, Mr.Shriyash Patil, Senior Copywriter, ScaleX, Ms. Kojagiri More, Business Development Manager, HYT Engineering, Co,Pvt Ltd., Ms.Poonam Chalke, Deputy Manager Regional HR, HDB Financial Services for HDFC Bank were present for the panel Discussion. Alumni shared their valuable experience and corporate journey with the MBA-I years students. Dr. Anishkumar Karia moderated the panel discussion of alumni.

In the afternoon session, Prof.Bharat Oswal, CII, Young Indians Pune Yuva, Chair and his team of young and dynamic women entrepreneurs interacted with students under the heading of “Women Change Makers”, Panel Discussion, CII. Prof. Bharat Oswal himself moderated the Panel Discussion. Ms. Shweta Singh Baidya, Illustrator/Doodle Artist, Doodle Shoodle, Ms. Niharika Kolte Alekar, Founder - Volar Alta, Dr. Vidhi Bhanushali, Co-Founder & CEO, scanO, Ms. Shivali Vij, Lead Innovation, Michelin, Ms. Riva Jain, Owner, Cakto were the esteemed panellist. Panel discussion was very fruitful and they mostly focused on current industry trends and also guided the students regarding how MBA students must prepare to be a part of the corporates. Panel also shared their successful entrepreneur journey with the students. They also shared their precious experiences and challenges which they overcome during their entrepreneurial journey.

In the evening session, Ms. Madhu Jagadeesh addressed the students under the heading of “Universal Human Values”. She conveyed the students regarding various human values like trust, respect, affection, care, guidance, reverence, glory, gratitude and love. She encouraged the student to discover and understand the innate value of human being in every aspect of life (individual, family, society, nature/existence), reinforce the commitment and courage to live accordingly.

Day 2:

Dr. Kirti Dharwadkar, Director of PCET’s S.B. Patil Institute of Management, extended a warm welcome to the incoming MBA-I-year students, setting the tone for an insightful day of learning and motivation.

Mr. Manojkumar Daniel, DGM, Pune Maha Metro, delivered the keynote on “Unlocking Your Potential: Leadership Lessons for Future Business Leaders”, sharing personal experiences and emphasizing the importance of vision, leadership, and a sales-driven mindset.

Mr. Paramjit Chaddha, President, ADM Group, spoke on “Sustainability and Social Responsibility: The New Business Imperative”, offering real-world insights from the manufacturing sector and highlighting the importance of resilience in competitive markets.

Mr. Maulik Shah, Vice President of Sales at Info Edge India Ltd., addressed the theme “From Passion to Profession: Turning Aspirations into Reality”. He inspired students to pursue their passions while sharing case studies from brands like Naukri.com, Shiksha.com, Jeevansathi.com, and 99acres.com.

Mr. Uday Singh B. Kharat, Head-HR at Bosch Chassis Systems India Pvt. Ltd., discussed current HR trends, sustainability, and corporate responsibility, offering a practical view of today’s business ecosystem.

In the afternoon session, Ms. Wahida Pathan presented “Power of Dressing”, highlighting the 3A’s and 5C’s of professionalism and how personal presentation influences career growth.

The day concluded with a session on “Goal Setting” by Ms. Arpita Ghosh, who emphasized the SMART goal framework and the importance of structured planning for personal and professional success.

Day 3:

The third day of orientation at SBPIM featured a dynamic mix of leadership training, personal development, and student resource awareness sessions.

Dr. Nachiket Deshmukh from Swami Vivekananda Kendra led a powerful session on “Personality Development, Leadership, Soft Skills, and Social Service.” He emphasized the role of communication, leadership, and social responsibility in shaping successful corporate careers.

Simultaneously, the Green Club presented an engaging skit on water conservation. Dr. Iram Ansari, faculty coordinator, introduced the club and its initiatives in an “Introduction and Awareness Session”, promoting environmental responsibility among students.

Dr. Pallavi Kasande, Counseling Head at BKWSRC, conducted a session on “Psychological First Aid,” focusing on mental health, handling life challenges, and emotional resilience. She addressed the impact of trauma and ways to achieve mental balance.

Dr. Pranita Burbure and Dr. Kajal Maheshwari guided students through a “SWOT Analysis” workshop, helping them recognize their strengths and weaknesses through interactive activities and games.

In the afternoon, Ms. Swati Satpute and Ms. Anagha Kulkarni from the Library Team conducted the “Library Orientation Program,” explaining rules, digital platforms, and learning resources available at SBPIM’s Knowledge Resource Center.

The day concluded with Mr. Sushil Kalbhor’s informative session on “Student Development and Welfare Schemes,” where he detailed various support initiatives and opportunities offered by the State Government and SPPU.

Day 4:

The fourth day at SBPIM began with a Parent Meet, welcoming parents of MBA-I-year students to familiarize them with the institute’s academic approach and development plans. Dr. Kirti Dharwadkar (Director), Dr. Roopali Kudare (Head Academics), and Mr. Ashim Pathak (TPO) addressed the gathering and responded to queries related to students' academic and professional growth.

Mr. Sagar Dilip Poman, PSI Cyber Cell, PCMC, conducted an eye-opening session on “Cyber Crime Harassment and Prevention Strategies”, educating students on digital safety, online fraud prevention, and cybercrime awareness.

Mr. Aditya Kulkarni, Co-founder of Altometa, followed with a session on “Fintech – Growth and Perspective”. He explored the evolving role of fintech in the corporate world and its applications across various business functions.

The day concluded with a vibrant Talent Hunt organized by MBA-II-year students, where first-year students showcased their talents in music, dance, drama, and more. The event saw enthusiastic participation and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.


Induction Programme - Aarambh 2023


DAY - 1

PCET’s S.B.Patil Institute of Management has invited MBA Batch 2023-25 to Join institute for a thought-provoking start of MBA journey at our Induction Program “Aarambh” Day 1!

Let’s dive into our first event of “Aarambh 2023”, Which was a dynamic panel discussion on “Diversity and Inclusion in Leadership: Empowering Women's Voices", by Prof. Bharat Oswal (Chief Happiness Officer at Botree, CII Young Indians Pune – YUVA Chair), Dr. Deepti Patil (Founder Director, Ziel Biz Solutions Pvt. Ltd.), Ms. Vaishnavi Deshpande (Manager - Tricentis), and Ms. Utkarsha Rajepandhare (Co-founder – PSR Sustainability) in association with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), YI.

After that the SBPIM alumni Panel Interaction on Dreams, Hard work, Determination & Success - My MBA Journey, with Mr. Mithilesh Kulkarni (Assistant Vise President – Europe Assistance), Mr. Abhishek Rao (Senior Lead – Commercial Emerson Process India Pvt. Ltd.), Ms. Anuja Kulkarni (Team Manager – operations, UK insurance Gallagher Service centre LLP), Mr. Suyog Thakare (Manager – HRBP Tata Consultancy Services), Ms. Ashwini Mahabal (Associate Manager Talent Management – Harbinger Group) and Mr. Sahil Sawale (Senior Business Development Manager EaseBuzz Pvt. Ltd.). During panel discussion and alumni session, students had an interaction with guest speakers and lots of students got clearity over their confusions and questions.


DAY - 2

At the start of Day – 2 of Induction Program “Aarambh 2023” batch 2023-25, We has an Inaugural Ceremony of Induction Program Aarambh-2023 and Motivational Session that will ignite students passion and drive with Dr. Jayashree Fadnavis (Founder, Chairman – Designer Learning Systems) and Mr. Parag Auty (Head TQM CVBU Unit Tata Motors).

Dr. Kirti Dharwadkar (Director – SBPIM) had a amazing introductory session in which she explained “Why AARAMBH?” and gave a speech on “How MBA is a starting of your new corporate journey.”

Mr. Parag Auty delivered a session where he did put lights on excellence, attitude, ethics, visionary leadership and characteristics like Management concepts. And with his motivational line “focus on “know why” along with “know how”, He ended his excellent session.

Dr. Jayashree Fadnavis gave a knowledgeful and motivational speech started with the meditational and mind cleaning activity, followed by the explanation of “How your gardens are going to bloom now.” Ma’am landed a final bow with the explanation on “Why behaviour should be Rational, Scientific, Logical”

On the second half Mr. Ravi Bodani and Mr. Sanjay Bodani both had a session “The art of style flexing” where student interactions and many fun learning activities are also held. At the end of the session sir shared a knowledge about human personality and common human behaviour.


Day - 3

"Day 3 on August 29, 2023 of our MBA Induction Program "Aarambh 2023". A day was planned filled with inspiration, learning, and excitement! We had the privilege of hosting a captivating motivational speaker Prof. Dr. Dinesh Gupta. Sir had a wonderful session on passion to profession in which sir gave motivational speech on passion and business.

We also had the social entrepreneur Ms. Kamaltai Pardeshi the founder of Ambika Masala who shared her incredible entrepreneur journey and success story, fuelling your ambitions.

we even had a sneak peek into the much-awaited movie 'Subhedar' where movie cast Mr. Ajay Purkar, Mr. Digpal Lanjekar, and Ms. Nupur Daindhkar gave us a clearity about the movie and the history behind the movie

The Day 3 ended with a wonderful and knowledgeful placement session of Dr. Shitalkumar Rawandale (the dean placements, PCET) which opened doors to a world of opportunities, in the session “Exploring diverse career opportunities navigating your path after MBA”. a perfect blend of entertainment and inspiration. Which will lead students to the path of Success, and Excellence.


Day - 4

Day 4 Aug 31, 2023 of the MBA Batch 2023-25 Induction Program "Aarambh 2023". We are kicking off the day with faculty introductions. Followed by amazing institute introduction and exploring the library resources. Where we had a complete introduction of Institute and MBA Course provided by this Institute along with subjects, In the session "Know your Institute" covered by Dr. Roopali Kudare, (Head Academics).

After that a knowledgeful session about library and facilities provided by library of SBPIM, In “Library Orientation Program” by Mrs. Swati Satpute.

The thought-provoking panel discussion with Mr. Santosh Ghatpande (the founder of Anahat Music Therapy) was planned thinking about diverse perspectives of Music and connection with life.

Also The Guest Speaker Dr. Mahesh Kolte (Professor and Head E&TC, PCCOE) shared a knowledgeful session where we explored universal human values that'll shape us not just as professionals, but as better humans.

And the cherry on top? An insightful guest session of Mr. Ajit Chigteri (Ex. Associate Director Emerson Automation Solutions) tailored for MBA students. Learning, growth, and connections – Aarambh.


Day - 5

Exciting times for MBA Batch 2023-25, A special Parents Interaction session was planned at the Day – 5 of our Aarambh 2023, which brings us a closer to an amazing outdoor management training. Mr. Bhushan Hiralekar and Ms. Madhura Kamble Both are the founder and corporate trainer of “Corporate Excellence”.

At Outdoor Management Training, sir conducted some fun games and team building activities for students which helped students to understand importance of team in and team work for further corporate journey. And it helped students a lot to get ready to challenge themselves and build lasting connections both within and beyond the classroom. Outdoor Management Training by Mr. Bhushan Hiralekar was a very wonderful experience for us as well as students.
