Professor Shivaji Desai is a supply chain and logistics practitioner–scholar with over two decades of leadership experience across FMCG, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and cold chain operations in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. He has led complex transformation programs for global organizations including Procter & Gamble, Teva Pharmaceuticals, Colgate-Palmolive, The Hershey Company, and Rehau, with expertise spanning ERP - SAP/Oracle deployments, SAP MM/WMS/BI , greenfield facility commissioning, network optimization, and demand-driven supply chain design.
His corporate life training’s in Bahrain/ Dubai/Egypt/Turkey/Oman/ England/ Singapore /China/Qatar/Thailand which helps him to bring global perspective to the classroom .His work focuses on digital supply chains, data-led decision-making, resilient network design, and agentic AI applications in logistics.
As a Professor of Practice, Prof. Desai connects industry insight with academic rigor through case-based teaching, applied research, and curriculum innovation. His professional and academic work is grounded in operational excellence, strategic foresight, and the development of agile, future-ready supply chain leaders.

He holds an Executive MSc in Supply Chain and Logistics from Cranfield University, UK, an MBA from Savitribai Phule Pune University, India, and advanced certification in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence from IIT Bombay and MDP from IIMA.
